Community Settings

Visibility & Access

  • Active - Toggle the community on/off. When inactive, it's not visible to potential members.
  • Show on Profile - Display the community on your public profile so anyone can discover and request to join.
  • Approval Required - When enabled, membership requests must be manually approved by you before the person becomes a member.
  • Require Passcode - Add a passcode that applicants must enter to join, useful for exclusive invite-only communities.

Branding

  • Primary Color - Set a custom brand color for the community page
  • Dark Mode - Toggle between light and dark community page themes
  • Cover Image - Upload a banner image that represents your community

Content Sections

Customize what content appears on your community page and in what order:

  • Offers - Insider-only events and products with exclusive pricing
  • Links - External links to resources, websites, or social media
  • Chat - Group chat for community members
  • Announcements - Important updates and news
  • YouTube - Embedded YouTube content
  • Spotify - Embedded Spotify playlists or tracks

You can drag and reorder sections to prioritize the content that matters most to your community.

Group Chat

Enable group chat to give your community a place to connect:

  • Enable Chat - Toggle group chat on for the community
  • Chat Name - Set a custom name for the chat room
  • Allow Media - Control whether members can send images and media in chat
Tip:

Group chat is a great way to build engagement and community. Use it for event announcements, behind-the-scenes updates, and fostering connections between members.

Intake Forms

Customize what information you collect when someone applies to join your community:

  • Add custom fields (text, email, phone, etc.)
  • Mark fields as required or optional
  • Collect information relevant to your community (e.g., Instagram handle, referral source)

Intake form responses are visible when reviewing membership applications, helping you make informed approval decisions.

Managing Members

Approving/Denying Requests

When Approval Required is enabled, new membership requests appear in your community management:

  1. Open your insider community settings
  2. Navigate to the Members section
  3. View pending requests with their intake form responses
  4. Tap Approve or Deny for each request

  • Remove members from the community
  • View their intake form responses

Insider-Only Tickets

The most powerful feature of insider communities is the ability to create exclusive tickets that only your community members can purchase, with special pricing:

Setting Up Insider Tickets

  1. Create or edit a ticket for your event
  2. Toggle Insider Only on
  3. Select which insider community the ticket is restricted to
  4. Configure the discount (see below)
  5. Save the ticket

Discount Types

Configure exclusive pricing for your insiders:

  • Percentage Discount - A percentage off the ticket price (e.g., 20% off a $50 ticket = $40)
  • Fixed Amount Discount - A fixed dollar amount off (e.g., $10 off a $50 ticket = $40)
Note:

If the discount makes the ticket free (e.g., 100% off or a fixed discount equal to the ticket price), a free order will be created automatically without requiring payment.

Redemption Guards

Protect your discounts with built-in guardrails:

  • Max Redemptions Per Member - Limit how many times a single member can use the insider discount for a specific ticket (e.g., max 2 tickets per member). Once the limit is reached, the member cannot purchase more of that ticket with the discount.
  • Minimum Total - Set a minimum order subtotal required to use the discount. This prevents the discount from being applied to very small orders.
Server-Side Enforcement:

Both the max redemptions and minimum total are enforced on the server. Even if someone attempts to bypass the client-side checks, the backend will reject the order if the guards are not met.

Insider-Only Products

In addition to tickets, you can also create insider-only products (merchandise, experiences, etc.) that are exclusively available to community members with the same discount configuration options.

The setup process is identical to insider tickets but happens in the product editor instead of the ticket editor.

Managing Community Content

Keep your community engaged with rich content:

Links

Add external links to resources your community might find valuable:

  • Social media profiles
  • Exclusive content pages
  • Merch stores
  • Any relevant URL

YouTube & Spotify

Embed media content directly on your community page:

  • YouTube - Add a YouTube video or channel URL to embed
  • Spotify - Add a Spotify playlist, album, or track URL to embed

Announcements

Post announcements that appear on the community page. Use these for:

  • Upcoming event previews
  • Early access announcements
  • Community updates and news
  • Exclusive offers and promotions

Profile Visibility

When Show on Profile is enabled, your insider community appears on your public profile page. This lets anyone who visits your profile discover and request to join your community.

If you prefer a more exclusive approach, disable profile visibility and share your community link directly with the people you want to invite.
